Two Great British manufacturers join forces as Good Directions Ltd acquires Neptune Outdoor Furniture Ltd.


We are proud to announce that Neptune Outdoor Furniture Ltd became part of the Good Directions company group from 1st August 2013.

We are a British manufacturer specialising in the design and production of exterior clocks, clock towers, architectural features and copper guttering. Neptune has been a successful forerunner of street and park furniture since the 1960's and acquiring the Hampshire based company forms part of our continued expansion plans.

We are always looking at ways to expand our business, diversify our product ranges and improve services for our customers. We are confident that by combining the two companies we will make the experience of sourcing outdoor architectural products easier.

As a supplier of metal work to Neptune for their litter and dog bins, benches and seats we have worked with them for many years. Both companies are similar in very many ways, we both work with traditional and modern production methods to strict ISO9001 guidelines and procedures to design and manufacture quality items that will last for many years.

The deal marks an exciting twenty five year journey for Good Directions Ltd and its owner Robin Davies, who originally started the company with his wife Patricia from their home in Botley, Hampshire. With a strategy of continual investment in product development, staff, software and machinery the company quickly grew and today we operate from a 15,000 sq ft facility in Botley where we not only fully support our own manufacturing needs after acquiring a long established engineering and fabrication company, Mach Engineering Ltd in 2011 but also service many other companies and industries both locally and across the UK.

Medlock Midi Bench

  MIDI Medlock Bench   Neptune Street Furniture is happy to announce the launch of their new and exciting product the ‘Medlock Midi Bench’; this bench is a smaller and more compact version of their traditional Medlock Bench and is aimed at the younger age group of pupils in preschool and infant schools. This bench retains the same overall length of their Medlock Bench at 1350mm, however is lower to the ground coming in at just 340mm, making it perfect for those younger age groups. These benches are manufactured in the same heavy duty and sturdy materials as their other Friendship Range of products using fully recycled plastic lumber, which limits the carbon footprint and gives an extremely hardwearing and long life to the products.
